Vintage Towers Single Lock Handcuffs From Approx 18701st time offered! Over the next few months we are proud to offer to the public the contents of a 45 year antique dealer's personal collection from virginia. These wonderful collectibles have never been offered to the gneeral public. This is a great opportunity for all! Happy bidding on some almots impossible to find items! Antique vintgae handcuffs with key included (from above mentioned personal collection) awesome police/western memorabilia! Some history handcuffs and similar restraints have always been fascinating to people. Although their intended use as a tool of law enforcement is well understood by all and is indeed a bit frightening, handcuffs have captured the imagination of many. If any company can be said to have dominated the classic era of american handcuffs it would be tower. Tower products had their roots in the 1860s, they lasted until the world war ii era. In the last decades of the nineteenth century the tower product set a standard of precision, craftsmanship and security that perhaps has never been matched. Other than the changed lock the single lock handcuff was essentially identical to the 2nd model of th etower bottom key handcuff. The key hole is on the side near the bow pointing slightly backward. The datd of introduction is not clear. In 1971 tower applied hsi 1st patent, so one might assume that these cuffs were a product of the early 1970's. Please email with ayn questions. Thanks! |
