Old Tower Leg Irons Doublelock Us Navy Handcuffs
Join the navy and see the world these tower double-lock beauties appear to eb handcuffs, but are actually leg irons as indicated by the 12-inch chain separating the shackles and also by their larger size. Page 143 of the handcuff guidebook by alex nichols shows a photo of tower leg irons exactly like these.
(rusted, but to a lesser degree than mine-and no usn designation). Extensive surface patina! How old are these particular restraints? I dunno. The tower company patented their double lcok handcuffs august 19, 1879. The tower leg irons are simply a larger version of their handcuffs. At some unknown date, the twoer outfit scored a government contract supplying the u. S. Navy. It happens. You can join the navy, continue your usual civilian style behavior, and become acquainted with navy leg irons. Or, more pleasantly, simply bid on these gems. Buyer pays $11.80 for u. S. Priority mail flat rate box insured. (this is heavy stuff, so the flta rate box is the economical way to go). Will ship only within the continental united states (unless shipping is ok'd by me to another location and all extra costs paid by buyer).
Paypal is ok. Pennsylvania residents subject to sales tax. Thank you for looking, and good luck bidding!
