1930S Wwii Washington Military Police Sergeant Badge

1930s Wwii Washington Military Police Sergeant Badge

This is an obsolete military police sergeant's badge issued to mp's in the state of washington. I believe it was probably intended for the washington state guard (which was separate from the washington national guard). It is in very good condition with no scratching, bends, wear or any other damage. I suspect it was never issued.
There is no badge number, so this was evidently a generically issued badge. Measures 3.25 x 2.25.
When i originally obtained this badge, the condition led em to think it was later, maybe the 1950s at the earliest. However, researching the patent date (2066969) has revealed that the desing of this badge actually dates to the 1930s.
This badge is quite early for a military badge, and in no way resemblse the modern standardized badges employed by military police today. The fact that it is made unique to a particular state is not something that is done by the modern military. The washington state guard was activated in wwii to guard coastlines, vital war-effort installations, and to prepare for military action against a possible japanese invasion of the west coast. Right after the war, the wsg was disbanded for a time (then reactivated and reorganized in the 1960s). Attn ebay safeharboras required by ebay policy, i want to reiterate that this badge is 75 years old and does not remotely resemble any kind of modern police badge. The original military organization that carried it was disbanded. Shipping will be $4.50 in the us.
